HI GRIZZ - oh yes, the meaning of the light. I keep candles in all our windows all year to guide the lost back home. And our candles here will work perfectly in our new "bungalow"....in fact, we brought one over already to cast a light of hope for my eldest daughter to "see the light" and feel the love that awaits her here and follow the light that will bring her back home. I have kept them lit for 10+ years she has been gone a long time.
Well, Skipp is off from work for 10+ days, and we are on the mend - not 100% but way better. Our own count down begins today as this is our last week here - Christmas will be loving and joyous and sad and traditional - so many things..... I will stay in the moment - put one unbalanced foot in front of the other :-), and pray and believe and sing and cry and listen and remember and mourn and hope and surrender, Amen Love to you my friend at Christmas and always Gail peace.....
Some us us will keep on keeping Christmas in all the right ways—not forgetting it's traditions and their meanings, not forgetting what and whom we celebrate.
Your daughter will find her way home one of these days; I believe that. Don't ever give up that hope and faith. Keep your candle burning. That light—the light of your caring mother's love—will guide her back.
I know moving will be difficult. Especially now, at Christmas time…and after all of you being so sick. The move's difficulties will be at least as much emotional and physical—and the emotional side will linger long after the physical saches and pains have healed and your energy has returned. But that's what life's all about, moving—from place to place, stage to stage. You're strong. You will adjust, and then you'll thrive. I believe that, too.
Don't hold back, just do it, all of it, in whatever way feels right. Enjoy your Christmas, enjoy closing one door and opening another. Your future will be one filled with blessings and wonder, because your heart is filled with love.
They weren't meant as just comforting words—I said what I truly believe. You can't redo the past, but you can live today and work to make a better future, and attitude, faith, and love will make all the difference in how that future unfolds. Because of the way you've lived your life, the things your Mother taught you, the trials and hardships you've overcome, as well as the battles you continue to wage…I see your strength, and I know you know all of what I've said already. I'm just giving you a friend's reminder.
