MERRY CHRISTMAS!

A Christmas Prayer

Loving Father,
Help us remember the birth of Jesus,
that we may share in the song of the angels,
the gladness of the shepherds,
and worship of the wise men.

Close the door of hate
and open the door of love all over the world.
Let kindness come with every gift
and good desires with every greeting.
Deliver us from evil by the blessing
which Christ brings,
and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.

May the Christmas morning
make us happy to be thy children,
and Christmas evening bring us to our beds
with grateful thoughts,
forgiving and forgiven,
for Jesus' sake. Amen.

—Robert Louis Stevenson

Gail....

I've survived two meals and opening gifts, now waiting for strength and space to deal with pecan pie. May not survive that. 😎p

A very Merry Christmas. I feel your pie pain!

Rochelle...

Alas, I became confused, and ultimately sidetracked by a "fruit sampler" pie (cherry, blueberry, apple, and peach all-in-one!) and then a red velvet cake, plus various cookies, eggnog, and chocolates, and have yet to partake of that pecan...though an oversight soon to be corrected. Pacing and determination are required to make a success of the holiday larder. Merry Christmas!

A tardy but nonetheless Merry Christmas to you and your family, Grizz. May you continue to be blessed in the coming year.

Janette…

Thank you. I look forward to getting out and about more to places and the time to MAKE more photographs—and will certainly share the best of 'em.

George…

Not at all tardy, my friend—not yet even midway through the Christmastide celebration. So your timing is fine, and your visiting and words much appreciated. May we both enjoy peace, good health, and regular doses of wonder during the coming year…and find beauty every day.

Merry Christmas!
