CHRISTMAS JOURNEY…DAY 12

O sing unto this glittering, glorious king,
O praise His name let every living thing;
Let lute, let shawm, with sound of sweet delight,
The joy of Christé's birth this day recite.

Francis Kinwelmersh (1538-c.1580)

What a beautiful place - if a little chilly right now.

HI GRIZZ - the beautiful picture chills me and thrills me. I would love to be on your porch with a mug of steaming hot cocoa just watching the river and feeling Winter in all its magical glory.
Beautiful image and words to carry on the message of hope ....

More than a little chilly, in fact…four measly degrees when I got up this morning before daylight; all of sixteen now. But still lovely outside, and I wouldn't trade it for all the palm trees in Florida.

There are geese on the river, and ducks—and the old heron is fishing in the riffle which hasn't yet iced over. But you'd be way better off sipping that mug of hot cocoa in the great room, with your back to the woodstove, looking out the windows; the water's only a dozen or so feet away. And you'd be warm and comfortable.

Well, at least you're not insisting we sit outside in the rockers in single-digit temperatures!
